Documenting Your Bequest
If you plan to make a charitable gift by will, please think it through carefully. Then, meet with your advisor to discuss and update your will. Let them know exactly what you want to do. Be as clear as possible in describing what you want given to whom.
Let Us Know!
We hope you'll tell us when you have named Providence in your will. We would like the opportunity to thank you for your generosity.
The official legal bequest language for Providence Foundations is: "I give, devise and bequeath _____ percent ( ___%) ____________ (or dollar amount) of my estate to Providence _________________________________ (name the Providence Foundation) for the benefit of Providence ____________________________ (include the ministry of your choice) to be used for their greatest needs."
Recognition of Your Gift
Public recognition of your gift encourages others to make gifts benefiting Providence. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, your gift will be kept completely confidential. Also, if you have any other specific requests regarding your bequest, please contact the Foundation at one of the offices listed below for assistance.
Other Bequest Options
Other bequest options can be found inside our Creating a Legacy of Care & Compassion brochure (see pages 8 and 9). There are eight generally accepted ways to make a bequest; please consider discussing them with your attorney as you prepare to update your will.
